Studbook Zangersheide vzw, founded in 1992 by Léon Melchior, aims to breed show jumping horses of the highest quality. This groundbreaking initiative brought about a true revolution in the show jumping world, which until then had been very region-bound and protectionist.

Today, Studbook Zangersheide is one of the largest and most influential studbooks in the world, with more than 10,000 registered foals each year that carry the characteristic ‘Z’ behind their name. Zangersheide horses, such as Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z, Beauville N.O.P. Z and Dominator 2000 Z, are loved worldwide for their competitiveness, speed and perfect adaptation to modern show jumping, and shine weekly at the largest competitions in the world.
