Altez Equestrian Projects is a part of the Altez Group, a specialist in agricultural and industrial construction. Over the past decades, the demand for dedicated stable construction increased proportionally with the demand for our horses. That in turn attracted riders to settle in our regions. Pieter Vanthienen has been designing and supervising the equestrian projects of Altez since 2003. Sport stables, stud farms, horse clinics, you dream it, Altez makes it happen. From permit application to integral completion. The total concept with an eye for safety and comfort for your horses to the aesthetic finish to the customer’s taste is the business model of Altez, where we supervise the integral project without any worries for the customer.
The projects evolved over the past decades form functional agricultural sheds to tasteful ecological stables integrated into nature. The first references from that era are under multiple Olympic medallist Tinneke Bartels in the Netherlands and two-time Olympic champion Franke Sloothaak from Germany.
Also under the first stable of Ludo Philippaerts and Jan Tops, Olympic champion of Barcelona, is the signature of Geerkens-Hippico, which we now know as Altez Equestrian Projects, which also signed stud farm Zangersheide and world champion Jos Lansink. Current top riders such as Pieter Devos and Niels Bruynseels are also building with Altez.
Top athletes always want to perform better. It is inherent in breeders, owners, and riders that they constantly want to breed, buy, or ride the better horse. This existential quest for that one unique horse with which to stand out, they extend into the accommodation of their passion.

This is how Altez evolved into project development. When existing farms cease their activities, we are regularly asked whether we can give the existing infrastructure another purpose. In that case, we enter into a partnership with the owner to reform his infrastructure into a stud-farm or a stable, for example.
That practice is in line with Altez Construction Group regularly working with investors developing business parks. We are increasingly asked by real estate agents to upgrade existing stables, to convert them to the requirements of the market: a larger indoor arena, more accommodation for the horses, a more efficient layout of the stable. Altez tailers everything to the customer and the horse.
