’t Steenshof was originally an agricultural farm that evolved into a breeding farm with high-performance accommodation that also rents out stables to sports riders from Belgium and abroad. It is also a model building used to implement the latest applications in technology and home automation. For example, access to the stables and various tack rooms is controlled by contactless palm recognition.
“Functional work with horses, perfectly integrated in the beautiful landscape”
Besides an attractive appearance and high-quality materials, great importance was attached to functionality. For example, the stables are fitted with retractable partitions and can be mechanically mucked out if desired. During the design process, a lot of attention was paid to ease of working, for example the position of the horse walker, fodder and manure storage etc. This is another area where Altez Equestrian Projects, with its extensive experience, can play an important role.
