Not only in the Olympic discipline jumping Belgium is world top. We are also at the very top in reining. This is thanks to Bernard Fonck, multiple world champion. Both he and his equally successful wife Ann Poels are bases in Herentals from their brand-new stable complex built by Altez. World champions are known to set the bar high and have a keen eye for the smallest detail.
Not surprisingly, Bernard Fonck called upon the expertise of Altez Equestrian Projects. The result was a functional project with an immense indoor arena (72 x 35 metres) around which 55 horses are housed. This large complex was efficiently built with, among other things, retractable partitions that allow mechanical mucking out. The tack room is very spacious too, as the tack and saddles are already very impressive and require a lot of space. Almost every horse at Bernard Fonck hat its own saddle and harness and a lot of value is put on that. In order to efficiently manage that, at Bernard Fonck Altez worked with pivoting doors on which the saddles hang to make everything run more smoothly. This remains Altez’s premise: in accordance with the licensed area, each space is optimally used according to the customer’s needs. World champion Bernard Fonck describes his collaboration with Altez as high-grade craftsmanship with thoughtful design and flawless execution.
